Plugin Update Causing Parse Error

  • When I updated the WP Statistics plugin, it created a Parse Error that has taken the website down. I get this error when I visit the site and the login page:

    “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/content/79/8691279/html/wp-content/plugins/wp-statistics/includes/classes/class-wp-statistics.php on line 415”

    I have tried fixing via FTP but for whatever reason my access is being denied even though I have checked the login credentials for accuracy multiple times.

    please check your ‘wp-content/uploads’ folder permission and exist GeoIP Database in the same folder. then go to WP-Statistics Setting page -> Geoip Tab and click Update Database.
