Plugin update and on/off resets plugin settings

    Hi,

    After each plugin update or if you turn off and on the plugin, settings such as Fade-in effect, Color placeholder are back to the default (unchecked) value.

    Expected behaviour for the plugin is to maintain settings after update / power off/on.

    Plugin version: 2.0.0-beta.22
    Wordpress version: 5.6.2
