[Plugin: TYPO3 Importer] Transferring website content from Typo3

It’s possible, but the coding isn’t in place yet for that. The TYPO3 Importer is geared towards migrating tt_news which has been the larger percentage of content in the past to migrate.

Sponsorship of the pages and tt_content migration is possible.

What would it cost to make every TYPO3 content importable? I really want to import, as this site has a lot of content.

@loosefast, for that, some serious development would be required.

I don’t know of any free options to do such. Bringing things like content records over is easy, but page is much harder since the layout and holding of multiple content records and types has to be tracked and replicated in a manner that you can work with in WordPress.

In the past, most of my TYPO3 to WordPress migrations focused on only importing the content records than pages. However, it’s doable for page, but not easy as per above.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

thanks for your reply! at this stage it’s a spec project, for a typo site with 150 pages and 50 news items to be imported into WP.

What kind of content on the pages? Got URL?

I can’t give that info out just yet, also I’m not familiar enough with Typo3 content types to answer that ??

I’m also interested in moving a website from Typo3 to WordPress, I only want to transfer the content of the pages, I don’t care about the design, and so on. I only want the articles. do you think that can be done with TYPO3 Importer now because I see you wrote 11 months ago that it is hard to do that, and I really wouldn’t want to transfer at least 200 pages by hand
