[Plugin: Typekit Fonts for WordPress] Asynchronous loading option for Typekit?

  • I’ve been enjoying your plugin for quite a while now… but recently, Typekit.com seems to have had more outages that are slowing my clients’ sites down to such a serious degree that I’m considering ditching Typekit. I’d much rather keep Typekit, though, and load their fonts asynchronously.

    However, I’m more of a front-end designer, and I’m wary of trying to hack together my own plugin to load my Typekit fonts using the best pattern shown here:

    Is there any chance you might be able to add this as an option to your fantastic plugin? Currently it appears that no such plugin exists anywhere. If this is on your plate, do you have any idea when you might complete it?

    Thanks for the suggestion.

    This is something that we have investigated previously, however it isn’t something that we have firm plans to add to the plugin. It is on our list of possible future enhancements though.
