• I recently noticed that whenever TWP pulls tweets in it automatically converts the URLs to use t.co, however I’m already using my own URL shortner when I post the links so I would really like to disable this functionality.

There’s no option to disable this in TWP’s settings, and I couldn’t find anything obvious in the widget’s files, so I’m wondering if anyone knows how this can be accomplished?

Oh… it’s actually Twitter that’s doing this… awesome! (the jerks)

When viewing my Twitter profile the visible link is that of my own URL shortener, but I just noticed that when you hover over the link it shows the t.co link. When my TWP block showed the t.co link and on first glance it looked like my Twitter profile was showing my own URL, it appeared as though it was TWP that was at fault for this. Not so.

Twitter’s announcement about this “improvement”, https://dev.twitter.com/discussions/1062
