[Plugin: Twitter Tools] tag not closing on date

For some reason Twitter tools doesn’t close the link surrounding the date line. When I post the content which features a link it wants to assign that extra link to the date line.

I am not a big fan of this, but it is OK. However, it fails to close it. Any suggestions why?

As you can see, the last message has the date pointing to the Facebook event page. Unfortunately, as the link does’t get closed it also transfers to the address lines.

How could I fix this? I didn’t find where in the plugin files there is this logic behind putting the link round date.
