[Plugin: Twitter Tools] Occasional Double Posts

  • I have Twitter Tools configured to publish daily digests of my tweets for the day. It usually works just fine, but it will double-post about 2-3 times per month. Is this a bud in the plugin, or is there something I may be doing wrong?

  • Also TT posts when you edit an already existing post, like adding tags. Kind of annoying.

    This is something we’ve spent several days trying to debug, without success. We have never been able to reproduce the issue reliably.

    I think I can.

    Every time I have some tweets with double quotes, I end up with a double post at the end of the week.

    Hmm, interesting. I rarely ever post anything with double quotes, however I do use single quotes regularly.

    I just had a quintuple post without any quotes, though I did have some parentheses in a couple of them. Some of the posts had the appropriate tag but two of them did not. Perhaps it is a character escaping issue?

    Wow, that’s quite esoteric… we did have a tweet with double quotes this week, and a double post happened to me for the first time.
