• Hi….

    after i place the widget…
it took around an hour to pick my top 2 latest tweets…
    looks fine..

i turn off my computer for while.. and get back, there no more tweets (it says No public Twitter messages)..
after around 20 minutes, the tweets are back..

then a day after… it says No public twitter messages again..
after a few minutes the tweets are back…

what seems to be the problem? it goes off then it gets back…

  • Great, simple plugin.

I have the same problem. The tweets appear fine one minute, then i get the no public tweets error.

    Running Version 2.9.1

    Any ideas?

Also having this issue on a 2.8.6 installation.

    kwick,

Care to enlighten us with a link?

“I use the fantastic Twitter for WordPress plugin on my website. Sometimes though, Twitter decides that it doesn’t want to make my tweets available. The plugin has accounted for this, and it displays No public Twitter messages when this happens. That kinda sucks though.

It’s definitely nice that the plugin doesn’t throw an error, but I really don’t want that message displayed on my site. So what’s the solution? jQuery of course.”

    Experiencing the exact same problem.

Went to bed last night and it was working fine, woke up this morning to see the message ‘No public Twitter messages.’

Has anyone found a solution for this?

    Hi

My english is not very good but i have the same problem !

I deleted this widget in first

I went on twitter.com to get code of button

    https://twitter.com/badges/which_badge

you connect to your interface twitter and get the code (you can customize your code, number of tweets, title…you can change also after in the code)

after you can go on your wordpress interface and put the code in the sidebar edit (at the end of code)

i put it after this code of sidebar.php
    <?php endif; ?>

and after is the end code
    </div>

if your the title of the tweets is glued with the up widget, insert this code just next the twitter code
    &nbsp
you pass a line and it s more readable

I’m having the same problem. I was using Twitter Tools but it hates FeedWordPress, or rather, FeedWordPress hates it and I need the syndication pulls so had to stop using Twitter Tools. The thing is, if Twitter Tools can pull tweets without a problem, I’m not sure why Twitter for WordPress can’t. A fix would be really nice.

I am having the same problem with a website I have built for a client.
    https://www.jackwrightdesign.co.uk/index.php

The Twitter feed will intermittently stop working. I am using the exact same plugin I use for my own website and the Twitter feed there works fine.

This suggest to me that the problem may be caused by either:
My clients hosting service (Zeus hosting, which has proven to be problematic already with permalinks)
or the small number of followers my client has for his Twitter profile.

Do either of these suggestions seem feasible?
