[Plugin: Twitter Blackbird Pie] Ability to display multiple tweets

  • Hi,

    I was wondering whether the functionality could be added to allow the display of several tweets within a single Blackbird ‘block’? The tweets would be displayed in reverse chronological order, with the author at the bottom as currently.

    It would be great to be able to display several related tweets.

    It would also be nice to be able to post multiple tweets from different authors, for example to show an exchange of twitter messages between two (or more?) people.

    Just some ideas, thanks for the plugin.

    Thanks for the suggestion ??

    I have been asked about doing “multi-tweets” before and I will def support that in the next version.

    wrt related tweets – do you see that as a new option in the wysiwyg popup – “search for related tweets” ?

    wrt multiple tweets – you can do this at the moment by adding multiple shortcodes, or am I misunderstanding you?

    Inserting two separate short codes will create two separate entries (both displaying the author at the bottom). I envisage two things: the ability to insert multiple tweets from the same author which appear consecutively, with the author at the bottom.

    For example:

    This is another tweet about something
    10 minutes ago via web
    ———————————
    This is one tweet about something
    20 minutes ago via web
    ———————————
    | ICON ] @author
    | ] Firstname Lastname

    The other thing I was talking about was not necessarily locating related tweets, but instead being able to provide the tweet IDs from more than one author, that would be displayed in-line, For example:

    | ICON ] A reply from the first person
    | ] by @author 5 minutes ago via web
    ———————————–
    | ICON ] Another tweet about something else/related
    | ] by @author2 10 minutes ago via web
    ———————————–
    | ICON ] One tweet about something
    | ] by @author 20 minutes ago via web

    I hope this makes some kind of sense.
