• First off, I thought this plugin was great … until it broke my site. Don’t know what snapped, I hadn’t done anything like update the plugin, or update my WP version, or anything else, but suddenly my site just went down. Troubleshooting determined the culprit was Tweetable. I confirmed this on two different WP installations on two domains – Tweetable crashed my site. After deactivating, the sites work fine. Upon attempting to reactivate, it failed due to a “fatal error”.

So as it’s now unusable, I have to give my thumbs down to the plugin. Too bad.

  • same with me

WoW you guys are not joking
I just tryed to install this plugin
    took my site 500
    I’m running WordPress 2.9.2.
the maker of this plugin needs to fix this

to anyone out there thinking of installing this Tweetable Version: 1.1.8 don’t!!!!

I can’t do anything to fix the problem unless you provide more information. I have never been able to reproduce the problem. Installs always work fine for me.

My guess is that the segment of users having issues with the plugin have something different about their server configurations. phpinfo() results would help greatly.

I have had the plugin running OK for a few months then it recently broke my sites hosted on Hostgator but other sites hosted elsewhere (Eukhost) are OK.

    I runn on godaddy

I’m having the same issue as of this morning. We’ve been running this plug-in for ages on our WP site. Everything was working through yesterday. Today, I’ve got the WordPress blank screen of death. Had to hack my MySQL database to disable all plug-ins, then re-enable them one-by-one. All was fine until trying to re-enable Tweetable, which yields: “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.”

The plug-in was working fine until now, and I can’t think of anything that’s changed since yesterday. Stranger still, the plug-in works on the development version of the site on my testing server, which is virtually identical to the production server. And Twitter is definitely up.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Tweetable…no luck.

Currently running WordPress 2.9.2. Haven’t upgraded anytime recently. Confirmed the host is running PHP5.

redwallhp, I’d be happy to send you a copy phpinfo() output, if you can tell me where to send it. Thanks for your help.

This is strange. If you send me the phpinfo() I can take a quick look. I can’t promise anything too in-depth though. I’ve been busy with the Summer of Code, so I haven’t had time to do any work on my own plugins this summer. I can give the phpinfo() a once-over and see if anything jumps out at me though.

How do I send it to you? Thanks for being willing to take a look.
