Plugin to strip body characters etc?

  • Is there a plugin out there that will strip specified characters (ie, bold, italic) upon creation of a post?

    Specifically, I want to remove bold and italic formatting from posts that I’m legitimately syndicating using FeedWordPress.

    There are one or two find-and-replace plugins, but that requires human intervention after the post has already been added.

    Furthermore, I wouldn’t mind limiting the content of these syndicated posts to one paragraph, so is there a way/plugin to limit that as well? Thank-you.
