Plugin to restrict RSS readers

  • Hi, is there a plugin that will restrict access to RSS feeds? I wanted only the crawlers and main RSS website to read my feeds and restrict it to others.

    The problem is someone is trying to copy my articles. I tried hiding my post but when I also hide my feeds, it was not being indexed on google. If I unhide it, my competitor is trying to copy my articles from it. Since I am on technology niche, it is impotant for me to hide also the title so publishing a summary feeds in not an option.

  • there isnt a plugin to do what you want.

    Basically, what you need to do is go through your web server logs, and get the IP from the competitor web site, and block that IP from scraping your site.

    if automatic scraping is occurring, that will fix it (until they find a new method or change hosts).
