    Hi,

I need to popup a small-ish window that displays the definition of the word the user has clicked in the blog. This would only be for hard coded linked words, not all words in the text.

Ideally the window would be dynamic according to the amount of text in the definition.

At the moment the linked word goes to a new page on the site using either ‘self’ or ‘blank’ in the link. This is disruptive to the reading process, a popup would be less disruptive and more intuitive.

Is there such a plugin – I have looked, but the type I would like to use seem to be only for images.

    Thanks

    greg

    Hi,

I discovered ‘Advanced Fancybox’ plugin – does the job well except for the dynamic sizing of the window to fit the text – I may still figure that out – given enough time!

i need this too, is there a way of handcoding a template file say window.php? Then when certain text links are clicked it opens just to display the html content. just a ‘close’ option would be available to the user.

it would be very handy as i try to limit my use of plugins. any hardcoders know how to do this?
    regards
    HH
