Plugin to overlay text over featured image (not all the time!)

    My name is Maria and I’ve been looking for a plugin I am not sure exists!

    We are a community-based learning organisation and we use posts + events for our classes. You can see the website here: https://www.lanewaylearning.com/

    The featured image on the post then goes on to the home page. When a class is full we have to manually change that image to another one with the tag “full”… this is very tedious.
    Is there a plugin that would allow me to tick a box on the post and have some text (or png) overlay over the feature image? Same with post title I see on some templates but not automatically but manually…
