[Plugin: TNG WordPress Integration] How I made it work

  • When I followed the installation instructions for the TNG WordPress Integration Plugin it really messed things up and I got a lot of errors. Specifically #5, adding the widget to the sidebar. Once the widget was activated, it worked fine. So once I took it out of the sidebar it began working again. Strange I know, and I can’t explain why, but I do have it working.

    I also wanted to use my own WordPress Template and not those provided with the Next Generation script. I struggled with this problem for days. I finally had to remove the first TNG installation and reinstall to get it working. So, if you want to use your own template as I did, make sure you don’t choose a default template when setting up the TNG script in the admin screen. I couldn’t have done it without the great information on The Ringersma Family Tree.
