Plugin throwing 404 error

When navigating the backend of the website, the google chrome development tool flags an error message: “Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 ()”. This error message is coming from https://ccss-cces.com/wp-content/plugins/easy-footnotes/assets/js/easy-footnotes-admin.js?ver=1.0.1
The admin pages load properly and the plugin loads properly but all of my audit logs are filling up with 404 error reports and I would like to understand why this is the case.
Let me know if this is a known issue or if I should start troubleshooting.
