Plugin TheThe Image Slider align on page

Hi all, massive thanks in advance for all your help! im pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to align this plugin on my homepage. id be most grateful if you could advise although im not a developer nor know much about code. Basically this was uploaded for me some time ago but updates etc have broken it. I now have it live where i want it but the slider is not aligned with the page although if i did insert it above my header for instance it is auto aligned!

i assume code needs to be added to style sheet butr im unsure how. there is no specific content in my css regarding this plugin although i notice that the person who installed it for me has also added a text content area for the plugin within just custom fields. i assume its something to do with this as i have never used just custom fields before and there is an empty box for the sliders shortcode if that makes sense.
