Hi. In a recent update, this plugin was set to load its font awesome icons only when that option is selected from its settings. However, with GP, the plugin loads its own font awesome CDN globally which adds an extra request to page load time (Gtmetrix shows this). When I switch to another theme like 2020, the FA does not load and the extra request disappears. Could you be aware of why this is happening? I also raised the issue with the plugin author.

Edit: The issue was resolved by enabling this option https://prntscr.com/q035zu. I am wondering how the theme is loading FA CDN while I am using SVG. I should mention I recently reinstalled the theme afresh and this option did not appear in my previous installation.

    Hi there,

That option is very old and will actually disappear once you save and refresh the Customizer. GP used to include Font Awesome by default, so adding that option allowed us to remove support for Font Awesome while keeping backward-compatibility with older sites ??
