[Plugin: The Events Calendar] Widget display varies on different pages

    I have wordpress 2.9.2 and have the widget displaying on static pages as well as the news page https://www.angelicbulldog.org.uk/news/ which is the blog part of the site.

    On the static pages including the home page https://www.angelicbulldog.org.uk/ the widget shows the current day event but on the news page the current day events are not displaying in the widget (they are past events).

    I have tried turning various plugins on and off but can not see what is causing this.

    Any suggestion as to how to get a consistant display?
