[Plugin: The Events Calendar] User Submission

  • Has anyone figured out a way to allow anonymous users to submit an event? I have a sizable community and managing all of the local events would be a nightmare. I just want to “approve” events that have been submitted to a form, and have it go right up on the site. Is this doable?

  • I’m trying to figure out how to to it with TDOMF right now, I can’t seem to get the custom fields to render properly though. This is really a must-have feature for the plugin for me. Anyone know exactly which custom fields need to be modified?

    Just got it figured out. Here are the steps:
    1) Download TDO Mini Forms
    2) Use TDO Mini Forms to create a custom form
    3) Set the form to create a post
    4) Set the category to ‘events’
    5)
    Use custom fields with the following parameters

    _isEvent – set to ‘yes’ (no quotes)
    _EventStartDate – set to the date in YYYY-MM-DD
    _EventEndDate – set to the date in YYYY-MM-DD

    6) Bingo, events show up on the calendar!
