[Plugin: The Events Calendar] Right Side Bar Widget Error

Hi there raws. Happy to try and help here. But when I view your site I’m actually not seeing the calendar widget in place there; I see WordPress’ standard calendaring widget in the footer and something with a header that says it’s the calendar (but doesn’t show anything) in the sidebar. Let me know as I want to make sure I get you the appropriate response.

As an FYI, the calendar in that second link does not appear to be The Events Calendar. So we’re not going have all the same features seen on that one out of the box. Though, you could likely recreate many of them with some customization.

Let me know about the above and we’ll do what we can to assist from there.

I’ve created an event. And under Widget I place the Calendar of Events, it’s what show up on the right side bellow the news archive. Is the The Events Calendar plugin. also it wont show up for march 30 on here. https://www.lancasterscworks.com/news_item/events/ I have installed it before on another website and works not sure why is not working for this version of wordpress

That is definitely bizarre – I see a few bits of weirdness on the site there, so I’m wondering if something else may be at play here. Here are some suggestions:

* It could be a permalinks-related issue. Resave your permalinks page to reset them.
* Make sure you’re running the latest version of the plugin (2.0.5).
* Check that there aren’t any earlier versions of The Events Calendar or Events Calendar PRO active anywhere on the site. If they’re present, deactivate them.
* Make sure you’re running the latest version of WordPress.
* Try to identify whether this is a conflict with another plugin. You can do so easily by deactivating any other plugins you’ve got active and checking whether the issue persists.
* If it isn’t a plugin conflict, it may be a theme one. If after deactivating all other plugins the issue persists, please revert to the default 2011 theme and test whether it’s an issue there.

After following these steps, particularly the latter two, let me know what your results are and I can try to troubleshoot more specifically from there. My gut tells me it’s the theme though.
