[Plugin: The Events Calendar] Make the events list width smaller

Absolutely love this plugin!
I would like to make the events list/calendar views smaller in width. My theme is smaller in width, so the event list goes over the border. I tried to change the “upcoming” css class but failed. Thanks for any help!
