Im still running 1.6.5 because this one let me have events on the homepage. As you can see under “Panoramas – Turismo en Concepción”
https://www.turismoconcepcion.com/ i really like how it works.

How much would it cost to have the new calendar 2.0.4 doing what im going to explain now.

1.- I want to keep the hability to have the events on the home page in the way i showed before. I tried with the 2.0 but i could not.

2.- Considereing im running 1.6.5 i would need a migration of all my events if i install 2.0.4. I want to keep the adress of all the old events intact:
    https://www.turismoconcepcion.com/2012/03/fiesta-chilena-2012/
    They are a lot!

3.- The single.php of the pluging has to look as similar as the single.php of the theme, that is what is happening with the 1.6.5, i like it:
    Theme: https://www.turismoconcepcion.com/2012/03/restaurant-don-quijote/
    Plugin: https://www.turismoconcepcion.com/2012/03/fiesta-chilena-2012/

4.- I would like to have the hability to show events in the slider show on the home page exactly like a normal post. I could not do that with the 1.6.5 i do not know if is possible with the 2.0.4

I have some savings, is not really much but i have some in order to pay what i want.

    Thanks in advance!

    Don Turis from Chile!
    Sorry my bad english

    Don

I am no expert, but I would stay on 1.6.5 until 2.1 is released. When 2.1 is released, have a look at it and see if it meets your needs

2.04 is very different to 1.6.5 and works in a different way. Events are now Custom Posts, not ordinary posts as in 1.6.5, so the way you use it in 1.6.5 is not easily replicated in 2.04. It may be easier for you in 2.1, it may not

But do you know why nRelated links do not work in this plugin?

    Thanks again

“But do you know why nRelated links do not work in this plugin?”

I suspect that the change from a Post to a Custom Post type (2.x onwards) is the cause of this

Hey there Don. Nick is correct when he said that the related links aren’t functioning due to the switch to a custom post type. He’s also correct that this will be a supported feature once 2.1 is launched over the next month or two.

Until then, there is a way to hack it together if you’re interested: https://tri.be/show-your-events-in-the-main-post-loop/.

The migration from 1.6.5 will be handled via a migration tool that appears upon activating 2.0.

Let me know if I can answer any other questions from there.
