[Plugin: The Events Calendar] Displaying Events in "latest posts"?

    I have my WordPress set to “Front Page displays -> Your latest posts”. I would like my Events to appear in here, as I use posts to post the latest site news, and Events should be included in this. How do I do this? I don’t want to create a news item just to link to an event, I’d like to have the Event appear here as a normal post excerpt.
