  • Hi Kapara. You’d have to modify the plugin a bit to do this; while the PRO release allows for showing specific elements and picking what does/doesn’t appear, this isn’t available out of the box in the free Events Calendar.

    thanks

Sure thing. Sorry I couldn’t offer up more on this.

    Kapara,
Can you let me know what file you changed to do this?
I was hoping that my widget would display:

    January 27, 2012 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm
    Special Budget Meeting

    Instead of

    January 27, 2012 6:30 pm – January 27, 2012 9:00 pm
    Special Budget Meeting

    Thanks!

Any thoughts, kapara? I know that redknite (and other users who come to the forum looking for the same thing) would certainly appreciate knowing…

    hi

unfortunately i had to replace the plugin, (i work in hebrew and it wasn’t compatible). (which is weird by itself because if the charset is UTF-8 it must work. weird. almost any plugin in the world is compatible and this one isn’t.)

    anyhow, it seems simple.
i am not a programmer but i’ve been building websites for 15 years with a programmer partner.

there is a page that shows the info.
    it says (in programming language):
show “name”, show “start date”, show “start time” show “end date” etc. etc…

all you have to do is delete the parts you don’t want.

i didn’t touch it because i replaced the plugin and the new one works fine for me, but though being new to wordpress and though not being a programmer, i’m confident i would gave done it in a second.

i discovered during the years, that even if you are not a programmer you can read the code of the pages and easily understand what it is talking about. and then some trial and error …

i guess the file would be in the plugin folder.

or you could hire a php programmer that would do it for you in a second. (really, a second, he just have to delete the show “end date” etc.).

or they advertise they have a premium version of the plugin that enables you to do it without digging in the code

    i hope that helps
    thanks

    Thanks for sharing, kapara!

Redknite: if you still have any questions on this, please do let me know.
