  • Not being able to change the entered data is quite a big bug. Hope it will be fixed soon.

    @navyad
The only workaround is editing the data directly in the mySQL-Database via phpmyadmin.

gerobe, I agree — can you please tell me what table and field to look in, to make these edits if necessary? At this point in site development I am pretty committed to this plug-in, so I have to figure out a work-around until the bug is fixed. Thank you!

So far, I have been just deleting the entry & re-publishing with the correct data.. which will not work for a client obviously.

Does anybody know if the same bug exists in the pay/premium version of this plug in?
Would hate to invest a lot of time developing with this, only to find out it’s not functional. Would gladly pay the $50 if it works..

This is a known issue happening for organizers/venues in core (free), and will be resolved for 2.1. Apologies for the inconvenience in the interim.

To address jesse’s question: this isn’t a problem in PRO, since it uses saved venues/organizers. If you need to change the details of something like a venue address or organizer phone number, you can change that by just modifying the saved venue/organizer entry on the site’s backend.

We’ll get this resolved for you non-PRO users as soon as possible. As it stands this is our top 2.1 bug so hopefully a fix will be ready very shortly here.

Thanks for the info and your hard work on this plug-in Rob.

My clients and I are looking forward to the fix as well. It’s a pretty unpleasant bug. Thanks!

Any update on when we can see a fix for this please?

Hey guys. This is confirmed as fixed in the 2.0.3 code base, which we’re just nailing down a few issues on. (I’ve tested it myself and changes to venue/organizer data on existing entries are confirmed as now functional & saving as they should). No guarantees on the release date, but we’re on track for and aiming to have it live early next week.

If anyone is in a real pinch and needs the code before then, feel free to send me an email (rob at tri.be) and I can get you the code in its current form. Thanks!

    Any update on this release?

So I have upgraded to 2.0.3 and I am able to make changes to the Event Organize and Event Location — BUT once I update, those fields are blank on the edit event post page. The changes are visible on the site. However, if I go in to update again — and don’t fill out all the fields — previously entered information is lost (the fields are emptied). Will there be an additional update soon, or do you think something went wrong with my upgrade? Thanks!

I echo 2cats experience. Location and organizer info doesn’t get pulled into the update form. When you enter data and click the update button the new data gets saved to the database (and updates the live site) but that info disappears in the form next time you try to update.

    Bummer.

I didn’t experience this problem with 2.0.2 but since upgrading to 2.0.3 today, I can’t save venue info.

Was hoping to launch today. Guess that’s out. I’m going back to 2.0.2 to see if that resolves the issue for me, at least.

I was having the same issue

I have been meaning to upgrade to Pro, so I went ahead and did that

Problem with saving/filling Venues and Organizers fields went away

We’re working on a fix for this now, guys. Sorry to hear that you encountered issues again – in all our pre-launch testing this was working fine and it still does in our testing environment, so somehow the fix isn’t impacting all users. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working on a resolution now.

Looking forward to the fix for this issue!
