[Plugin: Taxonomy Images BETA] No button to add image to category

  • I installed and activated the plugin and the new column shows up in the category, tag and custom taxonomy pages. When I click on the question mark to add image, the media screen opens fine. I can upload or select image from library etc. But when I go to specific image screen, there is no button to add image to category.

    I used images that I uploaded after installing and activating. Made sure the images were big enough (all 128×128). Any ideas?

  • I ran into the same problem but found a ‘workaround’.
    1. click icon to upload an image
    2. completely close the uploader
    3. click the icon to upload an image again
    4. choose your existing image
    then the button is there.

    I’m pretty sure this is not normal behavior, but it does get the job done until there is a fix.

    I have tried that but there’s still no button. I have even logged out of admin and logged back in. Nothing.

    Hi, I made this plugin, but am having a hard time reproducing the problem that both you and anointed are experiencing. I’ll be updating the plugin with a few small changes in a few minutes. Please try to upgrade your current version. This is a compatibility release for 3.0 BETA 2. Please let me know if this fixes the button problem. I have tested in both 2.9.2 as well as 3.0 beta and all is working fine for me.

    This is a long shot, but it is possible that you and anointed have another plugin installed that is incompatible with Taxonomy Images. Have either of you installed a plugin that hooks into the media section at all? If so please post the name.

    I updated to the 0.4.2 version of your plugin.

    I did have another media-related plugin installed – iFlickr which I was testing for pulling Flickr images into posts. I have tried deactivating that but still seeing the same problem.

    I think that I know what you mean now. This is a quirk of the plugin. The “Add image to Taxonomy” button only appears in the “Media Library” section. It will not appear immediately after you upload the image. Please view the screencast for exact information about how the plugin is intended to work.
