[Plugin: Taxonomic SEO Permalink] Custom Taxonomy and Permalinks with Sub-Categories

I want to accomplish the following:

I have a custom taxonomy for every post, let’s call it city. i now would like to have the input of city in my permalinks.

So let’s say i’ve added newyork as custom taxonomy in city.
I now want my permalink to look like this:
domain.tld/newyork/category/postname/

I’ve got this to work with Taxonomic SEO Permalink

The problem
I can’t get this to work with sub-categories.

domain.tld/newyork/category/ works

domain.tld/newyork/category/postname/ works

domain.tld/newyork/category/sub-category/postname/ works

domain.tld/newyork/category/sub-category/ **doesn’t**

I would be very happy if someone could point me in the right direction.
I also prefer not using a plugin, but that’s doesn’t work at all.
