[Plugin: SyntaxHighlighter Evolved] Expand code blocks on hover

Maybe I just need a push in the right direction, b/c i’m not even 100% sure what to call this effect, so my googling isn’t producing much.
at the moment, the code blocks are auto sized to their containing element. what i’d like to do is keep them this way, but when they are hovered over have them expand to their full-width… covering over any content in the sidebar.
