Is the company still offering support to this plugin? If so can someone explain why when someone pays it doesn’t redirect to the user and password set up once they pay using PayPal?

We always have to manually add username, PayPal Transaction ID and Password.

    Please help!

    Hi @ten12design!

Yes, it’s still supported, although I’m more often in our forums over https://forums.wpsharks.com ??

It’s strange that you’d have that happen. I’d first suspect an incomplete integration with PayPal. Did you complete the configuration? WP Admin > s2Member > PayPal Options: PayPal Account Details, IPN, PDT and Auto-Return.

Could you enable logging and do a test purchase to reproduce the behavior, so we see if the log entries give any clues? WP Admin > s2Member > Log Files

I look forward to your update. ??

The issue I am having is that once it returns to this page https://www.trakkaddixx.com/?s2member_paypal_return=1&s2member_paypal_proxy=paypal&s2member_paypal_proxy_use=x-preview

they is no section for a user to create the username and password.

    Ah, I understand.

Yeah, that page doesn’t include a registration form, that page would show a message.

You don’t get any errors or anything, right? What does the page say there?

From there the user would go to wp-login.php to create his account.

If he’s upgrading an existing account, he should already be logged in to it when he loads the page where the PayPal button is, so the payment goes towards upgrading account instead of a new signup.

s2Member Pro allows you to customize that return page’s template if you want. It also adds the the ability to set a custom URL that the user would be taken to after return instead.

    Does that help? ??

We are hoping to have the user register first then be redirected to PayPal to purchase. We had that before then it stopped working. Any tips or set up video to get this going again?

    https://www.trakkaddixx.com/join-now/

If we generate a shortcode with registration form and when user selects PayPal we notice once we fill out form and pay with paypal it brings us back to the registration form but never takes the payment.

Any help would be great and if you need a login please let me know.

    Gotcha.

Yes, it can be done, no problem. Do you have the free s2 or the Pro version?

If free, enable Open Registration, and then link to the wp-login.php registration page. WP Admin > s2Member > General Options > Open Registration

If you have the s2Member Pro, you can leave Open Registration disabled, and use a Free Registration pro-form in a WP page. WP Admin > s2Member Pro > PayPal Pro-Froms > Free Registration

Then in a page protected with s2’s level 0, to have the user logged in, put s2’s PayPal upgrade button. It’s important that he’s logged into his account when loading the page with the button, so his account is referenced, otherwise the payment will go towards a new signup.

Is that button you have there, generated with s2’s shortcode for the PayPal button? It’s important to use s2’s shortcode for the user’s access to be updated correctly.

    Does that help? ??
