[Plugin: SuperSlider] Half Baked, Not Ready

  • Not sure if this actually works or not because:

    1. The demos on the developer’s website don’t work at all
    2. There are NO INSTRUCTIONS anywhere
    3. Looks like there is NO SUPPORT judging from all the questions that are never answered. I found 1 answer that actually told the user to read the ReadMe file (which does not contain any instructions at all).
    4. There is no sidebar widget as promised
    5. Tried adding the code I managed to dig up after 30 minutes to the sidebar Text widget but it didn’t work. (for the Milkbox, see below).

    Tried using both: [milkbox]myimagelink[/milkbox] and then tried adding rel=”milkbox” to the images too. No luck.

    It’s really too bad because it appears that the developers tried to accomplish something but it never got off the ground. If it ever works, I’d love to give it a try, but looks like it won’t be any day soon.

  • Hello malawimama, superslider developer here.

    I’m interested to know what you were looking for, as your comments above seem a little dis-connected. ie: superslider-milkbox is a lightbox pop over plugin (now discontinued in favour of slimbox).
    SuperSlider (base) has no widgets nor should it claim to have any.
    Support is at Support @ wp-superslider and I do go to great lengths to help anyone with any issue which may arise. Your claim “questions that are never answered” must be a misunderstanding. Please point me to an unanswered question.

    If you have a problem please speak up at the superslider forum and I will help as best as I am able.

    As for demos, perhaps you could actually point me to one which doesn’t work, so that I can fix it.

    the SuperSlider-MooFlow plugin demos all work.

    the SuperSlider (base )plugin Page scroller demo works, as does the Zoom and reflect demo and the Accordion demo also work as prescribed.
