[Plugin: Super Zoom Gallery] Theme issue causing weird behaviour?

Hello Pokes,

It sounds like somehow the mouse exits the image causing a mouseout event to happen. This could be a CSS issue but it’s hard to say. Is there a way to look at the problem somewhere online?

Just tried in IE (I was using firefox) and the large image doesn’t display at all, let alone the zoom. I’ll try to get an example up you can see asap.

Hey ndoorn, I think I’ve figured this out, I have margins around my images!

The margin pushes .gal-small away from img. When the mouse enters .gal-small before entering img, it then exits the zoom when it passes over img.

The workaround appears to be to have no margins around images, but this is neither logical nor desirable. Any way this can be addressed in Super Zoom Gallery?

I released a new version (0.2.3) in which I changed the CSS to solve the problem you describe. Hopefully this fixes the issues with your theme. I tried to simulate the problem in my development environment, but that is off course not the same as in your situation.

If this doesn’t fix your problem, please let me know. If it fixes your problem, please let me know so I can close this issue!

Yes, 0.2.3 fixes my Firefox issue with margins on the img, thanks Niels!

Now I have to find out why IE isn’t displaying the large image at all…. CSS again I suspect, will let you know when I turn something up.

OK it seems the IE problem is with all Artisteer generated themes. I’m getting Expected identifier, string or number errors.

Any ideas? (I don’t see the gal-wrap div at all).

Hi Pokes, there is some progress to report on the IE7 issues. I fixed some javascript errors, but the gallery does not work as it should in IE7. Trying to fix this, but I am not sure if IE7 supports all the css needed.

I was a bit hasty in my last post, seems to be working alright in IE7 right now! After the JS fixes I changed some CSS to set the z-indexes correctly. Checked it in as version 0.2.4

Ooh thanks Niels, that’s almost fixed it!

Everything now appears in IE but it now has the similar behaviour to that which was in Firefox originally… I have a few pixels difference between the gal-small and the img at the bottom of each image which cause a mouseout.

Strangely I can’t see anything in the CSS to cause the gap and it isn’t there in firefox. Are you able to replicate this or know why it might be happening?

Hello Pokes, its been a while and I want to apologize for that. I have improved a couple of things to fix the bug you mentioned. As usually, fixing one thing leads to problems somewhere else. There are some CSS things that I want to improve before releasing a new version. Hopefully I can spend some time this week fixing these problems.
