For a few minutes on of our websites went down with a critical error because hellodialog threw this fatal error

PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Symfony\\Component\\Debug\\Exception\\FatalThrowableError: count(): Argument #1 ($value) must be of type Countable|array, null given in [WEBSERVERPATH]/plugins/hellodialog/shortcodes/shortcode.php:178

It started an finished by itself, so maybe something of a connection error happened? Is it possible to not throw a fatal error in that case?

  • I have had the same problem.

I have this problem too, can this be solved?

Hello everyone, thanks for your feedback and apologies for the late reply. We’re currently investigating the root-cause of this problem. It (indeed) seems to be caused by a connection error to the Hellodialog API. We’re currently in contact with Hellodialog and expect to release a fix (that will make sure no fatal error is thrown) later this week. Will send out an update as soon as it’s available.
