  • @wickedmike,

    Despite your reloading Subscribe2 several times it is still a corrupt upload. This error occurs when the syntax in a PHP file is incomplete. In this case the code finishes at line 2286 but in version 6.3 of Subscribe2 the code is actually 3860 lines long so you are missing over 1000 lines of code.

    Re-download the plugin and install it again.

    Thanks for that quick response. I downloaded it 2 more times, both finding an error on a different line and saying “fatal error”.

    @wickedmike,

    Have you tried installing via a different method? Try using FTP software and uploading the files yourself or install form the WordPress admin area directly. For some reason you uploads are corrupting every time with your current method.

    Hi, Matt. Thanks again! I do use FTP. I haven’t had problems with other plugins the past week but i do have an awful connection problem at the moment. And if no one else is experiencing this, then it must be on my side.

    @wickedmike,

    Hmm, maybe ask your hosting provider what’s going on with the FTP server then. You could also try installing from the WordPress admin area. This will pull down the zip and unpack it on the server so the download overhead will be much smaller.

    That said, this feature is reliant on the server security settings so you may not be able to use it.

    I have used the plugin on other sites. It’s just a weird scenario. It may really be a problem with my line dropping. Once that’s sorted, i’ll try again. Thanks for the prompt assistance. Have a good weekend.
