My client receives email via Outlook (likely an exchange server) and she supposes most of *her* clients do, too. She is not receiving notifications, although I do (I’m on Google Apps).

So I know that it’s sending out correctly — but it seems like it must just not be getting to subscribers on certain types of mail servers. It’s not in their spam folders.

Has anyone run into this issue before? And resolved it? I’m looking into Feedblitz as an alternative, but I really like this plugin’s simplicity.

    Thanks!

  • @relish1227,

Don’t presume it is sending correctly just because you get it. Server side limits on sending of emails can frequently result in the first several subscribers getting the email and after a certain number they are silently dropped for being in breach of a time based limit on the sending of emails implemented in order to combat spam.

Speak to your hosting provider and consider installing something like WP Mail Log to ensure the emails are being generated as expected on your blog.

After that though the emails go through a PHP function and then a server binary application before being sent so they may still be queued and dropped before successful delivery if you are breaking a server side restriction.

Thanks, MattyRob. I will look into this.
