[Plugin: Subscribe2 for Social Privacy] How to prevent users from adding new categories

I’d like to use the plugin as a way to hide categories from users who have not been granted access to that category. But it looks like users can go into their profile and add any category they want.

I feel like I am overlooking something obvious. Does anyone know how to disable the ability for users to choose which categories they are subscribed to?
