    Hi,
Now with Subscribe2 version 8.4 I get this message:
“You appear to be sending notifications from an email address from a different domain name to your blog, this may result in failed emails”.

    Why this restriction?
Does this mean that all email notifications fail?
Is it possible to override this restriction?

    Best regards

  • @monpelaud,

It’s not a restriction, it’s a warning message. It says “this may result in failed emails” – may does not mean will but the majority of support requests I get are about failed emails and this is a leading cause of failed emails – namely trying to send email from your blog which is example.com using an email address like [email protected].

Hosting companies really don’t like this as it looks like spam, hence the warning. If your setup works you can just ignore the message and if you really want you can hide it with some CSS.
