Every time a new post generates an email it sends two emails for each user.

Also I have a link in the footer to unsubscribe. When I send myself a test message it sends 4 message (yes 4). 2 of the message have a working link, 2 don’t.

I noticed that the message that go out to user have no unsubscribe links.

At a lose of what to do…

  • @gianthobbit,

When you send yourself a test message you are supposed to get 4 emails – one for each of the different email types. 2 will be HTML emails (one full content and 1 an excerpt) and 2 will be plain text (one full content and 1 an excerpt). The links won’t work in the plaintext emails unless the email client supports link recognition.

You cannot put unsubscribe links in the notification email as the plugin is intended to use BCC headers and send 1 email to multiple recipients.

All of this is already in the FAQs.

    Thanks for the response Matty.

I think I got it figured out then, I served the emails as HTML so I could get the URL to work to the subscription page I have setup. I was at a loss on the 4 emails but now it makes sense.

    Thanks.
