• I was wondering, some plugins work fine and then others get stuck at unpacking, and then I’ll try them again later or the next day and sometimes it’ll work then. why is this?

  • Difficult to say after the event. One likely cause could be an overloaded server. Do you have access to server error logs? If so, is there anything useful in them?

went into my FTP file manager and saw the plugin file, it wasn’t unzipped, like I said, it gets stuck unpacking, I click on it and hit edit and it says can’t open because it exceeds the 1mb limit, it’s 1.03mbs FML anyway I don’t know what I can do and the stupid thing is I’ve installed the plugin before and now it won’t work, don’t get it. The plugin is mingle forum if it matters.

Unpack the plugin’s archive on your computer and just upload the plugin’s folder to wp-content/plugins.

Only problem now is the forum theme and stuff isn’t showing up 0_o

Well, all the auto-installer does is upload the zip file to wp-content/plugins and unpack it. Prior to the auto-installer being available, all plugins were installed manually in this way.
