Plugin strips #anchor tags from URL
-
When the Master Slider is activated it strips the #anchor tags from the end of the URLs and loads the page always at the top.
The anchor tags work properly if the jumps happen within the page. But if the page has to be reloaded, like when jumping from a link on another page, then the anchor tags will be stripped.
Even if the URL ending with an anchor tag is simply pasted into the URL bar of a new browser tab and the page loaded, the anchor tag disappears and no jump to the tag occurs.
Here is the test site (not finished yet) I have set up to demonstrate the bug:
digital-arts.pe.huIt is on a free host for demonstration purposes only, so it may load a bit slow.
The top menu contains anchor jumps within the page and works well. But if you just paste:
https://digital-arts.pe.hu/#megrendelolap
into the URL bar of a browser tab and load the page it will not jump to the position of #megrendelolap. The same happens if you load the page:
https://digital-arts.pe.hu/szolgaltatasaink-helysegek-szerint/and click on one of the top menu links (which are the same as on the main page), then it supposed to load the home page and then jump to the appropriate anchor. But it will only load the page at the top, and will not jump to the anchor. The tag is also stripped from the URL bar.
When the Master Slider plugin is disabled, then the anchor jumps work (although a bit shifted due to the missing sliders) , therefore it appears that the plugin is stripping the anchor tags from the URL.
I will be very thankful if somebody could find the solution to the problem, because the anchor jumps are very important in this WP site.
