  • I use the same plugin on my sites and noticed the same issue yesterday, so it looks like its not just your site?

That’s very odd.. It worked just fine when I tested it out on Tuesday. I made no other modifications besides adding one location to the map that day and it worked perfectly, but once I tried searching for that new location the next day (to make sure it was still working properly) it froze up once the website was fully loaded and I’m unable to even use the plugin.

Instead, when I search for a new city, the webpage just reloads with no changes or results on the map.

    1) View site in Firefox Firebug’s Console tab
    2) Error: “You have included the Google Maps API multiple times on this page. This may cause unexpected errors.”
    3) Usually caused by another plugin or your theme adding Google Maps API code a second time to the page
    4) Once you turn that off, things should work

Update: Your website is Google Maps API V3 experimental, which can be unstable.

Experimental is used when there is “v=3.exp” in the Google Maps API JavaScript code in your HTML, or no definition of “v={version}” at all. In your case @tonyontheweb , it’s the first one.

Google Maps’s experimental versions shouldn’t be used on live websites, and it’s coming from the 2nd maps API call that you should figure out how to turn off, so you don’t experience issue.

Updating to Store Locator v3.85 and later should now resolve this
