I installed this plugin a few days ago and it’s been working great, but this afternoon it just displays the following error:

Error: (#200) Access to this data is temporarily disabled for non-active accounts due to changes we are making to the Facebook Platform
    Type: OAuthException
    Code: 200

The Facebook Settings says “Your Access Token is now working!” and the Facebook App ID is set.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

FYI, I deleted my Access Token and App ID on the Facebook Settings, and now it’s working

Yes, I got it working again, but only by going back to the default APP ID. Is this what I’m supposed to do? I note this notice in the Facebook Settings menu:

“You are using our Default APP Token for testing purposes. Generate your shortcode on the settings page to test your feed, but remember to add your own tokens after testing as the default token will not always work”

The problem is, with my own token, it worked for a while, but then I got the error message I reported above.

Facebook has been making some changes so maybe this had something to do with that error message. Can you try again and see if it works? Make sure and delete the cache from our plugin too on the Settings->Global Options page of our plugin. Look forward to your response ??

When I put my token and ID back in, the error returns. ??

Is no one else seeing this issue?

    Hey @ruairisdad,
No one else has reported this issue currently. Can you try clearing the input and hitting save on the page then try retrieving it once again. Unsure at this time why anyone would be singled out with that error.

    Thanks,

Yes, I am having this same issue.. I have recreated a new APP ID, refreshed cache on global and I”m still getting the error:
Error: (#200) Access to this data is temporarily disabled for non-active apps or apps that have not recently accessed this data due to changes we are making to the Facebook Platform. https://developers.facebook.com/status/issues/205942813488872/

@calbuny glad to hear I’m not the only one.

Unfortunately, even the default token has stopped working now. No errors are displayed, but only the header for the feed is displayed; no posts are shown.

When I was trying to get this is work last month I asked the page owner to generate an access token and app ID, and when I use these, I get this error: Error: (#10) To use ‘Page Public Content Access’, your use of this endpoint must be reviewed and approved by Facebook. To submit this ‘Page Public Content Access’ feature for review please read our documentation on reviewable features: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/apps/review.

What is the shortcode you are using? If it has to do with events or groups no matter what you do at this point those feeds won’t work according to facebook. Here is what we know at this point. https://www.slickremix.com/facebook-api-changes-on-april-4th-2018/

    Thread Starter Ruairisdad

    (@ruairisdad)

    The shortcode is:
    [fts_facebook type=page id=manesformovement posts=6 posts_displayed=page_only]

Mine randomly started working… not sure why.

    (@slickremix)

@calbuny and others. If your feed stopped working and started again this is not random generally. This is because your feed has been rate limited by Facebook, meaning to many calls to the API have happened in one hours time. In the next update we are going to add a message that admins will be able to see if this happens. Generally to stop this from happening you should set the cache time on the Settings->Global Options page of our plugin to at least 1 day. Let me know if that helps, and thanks for the continued support ??
