• After GoDaddy recently updated security on their hosting platform, we are receiving 430 Forbidden Error when selecting a PDF link. They are claiming the cause is from the plugin PDFjs is calling a PHP file externally which isn’t allowed on Managed WordPress hosting after the recent security update. The plugin has been working perfectly up to that point.

This is a known issue and I’ve got some updates in progress that should fix this, however I don’t have a good way to test it yet.

I can test it for you.

How developer savvy as you as it’ll take a few steps and editing some code. Either that or I need to find time to work on it some more.

I’ll see what I can do to get an option added to a future version to make testing easy.

There is now an Alternative PDF Loading option on the settings page that tries to load the PDFs via a custom URL rather than directly via a PHP file. Give that a try. Let me know how it works.

Of note, all the options are not yet built in, it just loads the PDF.
