    Hi,

All my products were synced and approved in Google listings till a few days back. Today I opened merchant center to check something and found that it’s not showing any products.

On debugging, I noticed that the plugin in my website is showing 0 synced products even though I have sync and show enabled. I also noticed that the plugin is recently updated (latest version).

To check if it was a plugin issue, I rolled back to a previous version, but it still shows 0 products synced. I even disconnected all accounts and connected again to see if that resolves the issue. But nothing changes. It keeps showing “Automatically synced to GoogleLast updated: March 31, 2023, 1:17 pm, containing 0 products.”

Why is the plugin not creating the product feed and showing 0 products? But I also notice that this error has been showing for a long time even when the plugin was working fine.

After checking error logs in woocommerce, this is what I see:

2023-03-31T07:22:50+00:00 ERROR Automattic\WooCommerce\GoogleListingsAndAds\Internal\DependencyManagement\GoogleServiceProvider::handle_unauthorized_error Client error: POST <a href="https://api-vipgo.woocommerce.com/google/google-mc/content/v2.1/678796134/reports/search“>https://api-vipgo.woocommerce.com/google/google-mc/content/v2.1/678796134/reports/search</a> resulted in a401 Unauthorized` response:</p> <p>{</p> <p>”error”: {</p> <p>”code”: 401,</p> <p>”message”: “User does not have reporting manager access to account 678796134. Can you please help me resolve the issue?

    Thanks,

    Vinita

    Hi,

An update. The plugin is now working when reverted to a previous version. All my products have started showing in merchant centre again.

Can you please help me understand what could be wrong with the latest version of this plugin that’s causing sync to not work.

    Thanks,

    Vinita

    Hello @vinitabansal,

According to the error, your account didn’t have access to the Reporting manager role, here’s a guide from Google for reference.

I checked for similar reports in GitHub to make sure this is not something reproducible but couldn’t find any.

The latest version of the extension just makes the plugin compatible with WooCommerce version 7.6.0 (to be released soon).

It could be just a random error from the Google API, you can try upgrading back to the latest release again. If that didn’t help, please disable all plugins as well as switch to the Storefront theme to make sure this is not a plugin/theme conflict.

Let us know how it goes!

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.
