How does this plugin handle the MaxMind Database, once it is downloaded, through the StatComm > Options > Advanced page?

Is the MaxMind Database set up with the MaxMind Defaults, or is there special StatComm conventions, added to the MaxMind Defaults?

In other words, if I went and got the MaxMind Database and set it up, would my database’s data, match the database data installed with your StatComm Plugin?

    Hi bamajr,
The plugin just download and unpacks Maxmind database. It doesn’t change the database at all.
If you download and unzip the database you would get the same file.

Sorry about the delay in responding. I ask because I’m developing a plugin, which also uses the MaxMind Database and I see no reason to download it twice. So, I was interested in piggybacking off of the MaxMind Database, already downloaded by StatPress.

    Does that make sense?

Yes it does, you need a way to detect the database downloaded and installed.
Also StatPress does not download anything, StatComm does :).
