[Plugin: Sqoot Daily Deal Widget] Description and FAQ are no longer accurate.
-
Evidently, the information given in the Sqoot plugin description and FAQ pertaining to revenue sharing is no longer accurate.
From the FAQ: “How do I make money? We share half of all commissions when deals are purchased through your blog. We only make money when you do.”
From the email sent to me after registering as a publisher on Sqoot’s site: “100% Revenue Share: Keep 100% of commissions earned for about $1/day, or use Sqoot for free with limited features and no revenue share.”
From the email sent to me when requesting clarification of their plans: “In short, users want to keep 100% of revenue and access all premium features, so we changed our pricing.”
Sqoot should update the information here on www.remarpro.com so that anyone contemplating offering their service has the correct information to factor into their value calculation. Since it seems that they’re too busy, here’s a link to their plans page.
PlansI thought the %50 revenue share was equitable. I gave Sqoot space on my site to advertise their deals, and they shared the revenue with me. Their change in pricing alters the equation, though. Not being one of those users clamoring to hand over a real monthly fee in return for %100 of the hypothetical revenue, and despite the considerable effort on my part in customizing their plugin to look and work the way I wanted, I won’t be using Sqoot. YMMV.
