[Plugin: SplashGate] Does not work properly if you have custom permalinks

My splashpage works ok if I have the recurring setting to 1 hour, but if I want the splash to load with each visit the enter site link does not go to my homepage, it instead redirects back to the splashpage. I tried linking the enter site to /news and /home and index.php and it all does the same thing and goes to the splashpage.

Also, why is there no minutes setting for the recurrence?
