• After I upgraded to plugin version 1.9.5, the plugin quit finding the images in the post to use for the thumbnails (it shows the default image). If I set “featured image”, it does find the image instead of showing the default. But, before, we didn’t have to set a featured image.

Each post only has 1 image. This has happened for posts I create after the upgrade as well as for the old posts.

Other than that I love the plugin.

    thanks!!

    Hello lucy,
can you provide a link to your website? Please also check if the cache folder is writable as specified in the requirements.

Thanks for your response. The permissions are set to 755.

    the URL is https://66.147.244.138/~huntgro1/
The thumbs all show up for the posts because I did set them to featured, but I just did a test post without doing so and the default shows up.

    thanks!

what happens if you try to create a new post with an image in it picked up from your local hard drive and uploaded?

The default thumbnail – that’s what I did with my test post.

Before upgrading, it didn’t show the default, it showed whatever image I uploaded.

Can u please tell me what theme are you using? Were you uploading images from your hard drive or picking them up from the wp library?

I am using Weaver II Pro.

I was uploading new images from my hard drive.

I too am having the same problem as Lucydog. I updated the plugin and the thumb does not show the image. What had worked in previous plugin versions: delete the image from the library permanently, then re-insert the image via the post “insert image” option (not via the library) — does not work this time. I even created a new post, inserting the image from the post (coming from my computer, not the WP library) and it will not view the thumb.
    Help.

@laptophobo Is your cache folder writable? You can turn loggin on from the special recent posts settings panel and see if some error comes up.

Can i see a live example?

I selected “Login errors on screen?” and went to both the Home page and the post page. I saw no error messages anywhere. Am I looking at the wrong place for an error message?

To view live, go to jwchinstitute.org.

Thank you for your help, Luca.

@laptophobo This is absurd i wanna fix this.
Can you please send me an export file of your entire blog?
Or maybe, an access to your backpanel.

Can you locate the cache folder? Is it writable?

I enabled the error logging and got this error

https://jwchinstitute.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/meadowdalekitchen-150×150.jpg this picture seems not to exist. Can you please also answer me to my previous questions? Thank you.

Luca, I think you might be mixing up myself and laptophobo.

    My error is:
Problem detected on post ID: 319 on file: /usr/local/apache/htdocs/~huntgro1/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/meadowdalekitchen-150×150.jpg

The photo exists, the actual URL is-
    https://66.147.244.138/~huntgro1/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/meadowdalekitchen-150×150.jpg

    thanks!

    Luca,
Please check your email box for access to that website.

However, to be sure of the problem, I’d went ahead and re-created the situation on another of my (beta) websites that uses SRP. Here’s what I did:
First, I updated the WordPress version to the current one.
    Then I updated your plugin.
In both instances (meaning both of the websites) the SRP widget was lost from the active widget area. So, I had to drag it over once again, and then re-set the configurations.

However, on this second website the thumbs do appear!

The difference between the first website and the second website is that the first one is a multi-site. Perhaps that is the problem?

Anyway, please check your mailbox. I have emailed you temporary access to the first website.
    Thanks again,
