    I removed the original share button altogether once they stopped supporting it. I probably won’t be looking into it too much further. I am going to be adding some hooks and filters to the plugin to allow others to expand and change functionality.

    The Share button has been deprecated in favor of the Like button, and will no longer be supported.
Please use the Like button whenever possible to drive maximum traffic to your apps. - via https://developers.facebook.com/docs/share/
