[Plugin: Social] Twitter OAuth broken

    Twitter Tools user here. Upgraded this AM and installed Social to facilitate. Can’t connect the Twitter account.

    Turned on debug and added some of my own debug, and it appears as though Sopresto.mailchimp.com isn’t POSTing back the data needed to establish the OAuth connection. The POST data is completely empty, as opposed to having the id (nonce), keys user, or service values.

    Upon going to my Twitter account’s Apps page, it does show the app “Social Proxy by Mailchimp” as authorized.

    Agreed. Trying to install twitter tools and I’m getting “page not found” when I try to add a twitter account to the settings for the Social Plugin.

    My issue was not a “page not found” error. I would click the Twitter icon to add an account, I went through the OAuth screens, it redirected back to the admin screen, but no account was added.

    I dont know where my issue stems from. I adden an account and when i went back to the plugin i got this error:

    Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/content/47/7393047/html/wp-content/plugins/social/social.php on line 1958

    I just tested this in three environments and it worked successfully each time. Sorry that it’s not working for you…

    Updated three WP sites today to get Twitter Tools working again. Two of the three: fine; worked like a charm. Third one: generates a 404 error on my site when trying to connect Twitter or facebook….EVERY time. I traded back to the 2010/2011 themes and turned off all other plugins and got the same 404 error every time.

    (Why do “they” always have to “fix” what isn’t “broken”? le sigh…)

    I’m also a full admin for every site and will let you log in and try it for yourself.

    (I did these in Google Chrome on a Mac if that matters.)

    Now that I see it’s potentially a browser issue: I got the same 404 fail using OmniWeb (which always works as well as Chrome/FireFox for me, but is a lot lighter).

    When the same code works in some places and not in others you generally have a server/environment problem.

    Just updated both social and twitter tools. Still getting page not found errors with Facebook and Twitter

    Ok this is marked as resolved, but I’m not seeing a resolution, what was the fix?
